Hi,

I create a topic to present you my Hiji...

I have it since 2007, untill 2009, I work essentially on the suspensions and brakes, although I have only the D15B2 90hp, it allow me to punish with road tires some bigger cars on track in, like Golf GTI, 206 S16 in slick tires...

but they was passing me on the straight line...so I decided to swap engine for one of my favourite Honda engine (maybe my favourite engine!)
D16A9! 130hp, and more torque at low rpm than a B16 (due to long run obtained with the crankshaft)...an really less expensive! I paid it 100€ all included to swap it in my car!

at the same time I was running with this D16A9, I rebuilt an other one:

[flash width=425 height=350 loop=true flashvars=]http://www.youtube.com/v/BIpWPUc3zOQ[/flash]

volumetric ration increase from 9.5:1 to 11:1...with OEM camshafts so the torque @ low rpm was really amazing for a 1,6L NA engine!

I had a map done by a local mapper, the best mapp I have ever seen on this engine...
with a friend we made a hybride gear box:the "Ouje Manuel Gear Box" (Portugal Domestic Market)

with S20 Esi gear box as base, we change some intern parts for:
EG3 ex 94'-95' final drive: 4,437 against 4,25
3, 4, 5 gear pinion from ED7

the max speed was 215-220km/h @ 8000rpm, with a great gear "overpass"

I tested with a friend who had a EJ2 B16a2 swapped with ITR gear box & 4-5 gear EG6 pinion:
2nd gear, 50km/ to 100km/h: 3 cars behind me
3rd gear, 90km/h to 140km/h: 3 cars behind me
2nd gear 50km/ to 150km/h: 3 cars behind me

off course, my EG was weigthing only 820kg with the tank full, I think it help me

DC2, EP3, FN2 Megane RS, golf GTI focus RS MK I, some Elises was behind me...

I advise you this set up, this is the cheaper you can have, for 500€ you can have all the engine necessary to swap it, and the 2 or 3 gear boxes to make the Ouje Manuel gear box

after trying this, I wonder why some B16 are sold 1200-1500€...

but the default of this engin when it is used with high rpm: the rods bearing
I learn the first thing to do is to change the OEM used for ACL race parts.

then, I bend a rod due to this fucking rod bearing...@ at the same time, a friend wished to sell his B18 engine full set up(25000km) to buy a NSX...

it was a good opportunity to swap again, for a 238hp engine ( measured with ITB, but I prefere the simple throttle, it is more efficient on B series)

now with the base map the power is about 215hp...but I'm waiting for an Ethanol mapping

Usually, this engine set up give 235-245hp/22-22,5mkg according to the measure, with SP98 gas, and 240-250hp/22,5-23,5mkg with Ethanol...

I will look if I find some track videos, I know I have 2:

the first, I pass a 360 Modena, and 2 turns later my ignition distributor has
explosed ,
the second, it is the dead of my second D16A9 on track "clac-clac-clac-clac inside"
